Teacher Survival Kits

It’s already Back to School Season! Are you searching for the perfect back to school gift for your child’s teacher? You should consider making a teacher survival kit!

Not only are teacher survival kits easy to make, they are actually something teachers would like to receive as a gift! Trust me, I’m a teacher!

Step 1:

Purchase a “Teacher Survival Kit” bag. They have many bags on Amazon and Etsy that are already labeled “Teacher Survival Kit” in many cute designs. If you are a little more crafty, you could make your own label for a bag of your choice. I found clear plastic travel bags on Amazon. I added vinyl “Teacher Survival Kit” decals, which I made with my Cricut Machine, to each bag.

Step 2:

Fill the bag with teacher survival essentials! I found most of my items in the travel section at Target. I included the following items in my kits:

Some other ideas include:

  • Hand Lotion
  • Deoderant
  • Cough Drops
  • Band Aids
  • Lint Roller
  • Sunscreen
  • Flossers
  • Post-It Notes
  • Pens
  • Pencils
  • Gift Card for Coffee

Step 3 (Optional):

Include a “Teacher Favorites Questionnaire” with your Teacher Survival Kit. I found some Printable Teacher Favorite Templates for FREE on TPT. Click here to access them. Write a little note asking the teacher to fill it out and send it home with your child. This really helps me as a parent to purchase gifts or items that the teacher ACTUALLY LIKES. As a teacher, I also love when my students’ parents do this, it’s nice to receive goodies that you actually enjoy.
