Monthly Handprint Crafts

Who doesn’t love an adorable handprint keepsake from their kiddos? I saw this cute monthly handprint idea on Tik Tok so I obviously had to try it out! I turned these monthly handprints into calendars for the grandparents for Christmas. Making 4 sets of 12 different monthly handprints was quite the undertaking… but it was totally worth it! Even if you do not want to make a calendar, these would be a cute monthly activity to do with your kiddos if you did not want to do them all at once. Read below to see the hand print crafts for each month!

How to Make a Calendar

1. Print out monthly calendars. I print my monthly calendars from calendarlabs.com on card stock for better durability.

2. Make sure you do your handprint art correctly. Set up the calendar pages so when you flip them over, it is like a traditional calendar. Make sure your handprints will not be upside down when you flip to the next month.

3. After all of the handprint art is dry, place all of the pages in order, and be sure to flip them like a traditional calendar ensuring they are all in the correct order. Once they are all in the correct order, hole punch the top of each page using a 3 hole punch.

4. After all pages are hole punched, use string to tie the pages together. You may prefer to get the calendar binded together at a local Staples or another shop that offers the service.

Expecting or New Parents

I actually really wish I did these each month when my babies were super little to see how their hands grew throughout the year. If you are expecting, or have a newborn, you may want to do this with your little one! You could even write down milestones and firsts on the calendars to remember your baby’s first year.

Even if you do not choose to make a calendar, theses monthly handprint crafts are still a wonderful as individual keepsakes to remember those tiny hands! Is this something you would make with your children? Is this a gift a grandparent in your family would love? Tag me @tayloredtoteach if you give it a try.
