Step 3: Cut 12 x 18 construction paper into strips to use as the headband portion of the hat. Measure it around each student’s head before gluing or stapling together to form the hat. I usually have to staple two strips together to make the headband.

100th Day Cereal Necklace
This is an easy activity for the 100th day! A necklace you can eat is always a big hit, especially in Kindergarten. This activity is a great fine motor activity and also reinforces number sense and counting to 100. You can have students create patterns with the different colored fruit loops if you want to take it up a notch.
You will need:
- Fruit Loops
- String (at least 3 ft per student, you can cut off excess at the end)
- Masking Tape or Clipboards (optional)
You can either put a big pile of fruit loops on a plate or you can have each student count out 100 pieces of cereal before starting. Students will then string their cereal onto their string counting as they go. I suggest that you tape one side of the string down to a table with masking tape so the cereal does not fall off the string. You can also clip one end of the string to a clipboard as well for the same effect.
I always wrap a piece of scotch tape around the end of the string to make it easier for students to thread the string through each fruit loops. Make sure to cut off any excess tape.
You can help each student tie the string together to form their necklace when they are finished. Students can simply wear their necklace or they can decide to snack on it throughout the day.
Happy 100th Day of School!
