Shark Week Crafts for Kids

Are you in need of some simple, yet fun, shark week crafts for kids? Look no further! Read below for two super fun shark week crafts your kiddos will be sure to enjoy.

Swimming Shark Craft

Your kiddos will love this simple swimming shark craft. Just tap the back of the shark and watch it “swim” !

You will need:

  • Paper Plate
  • Blue Paint
  • Paintbrush
  • Googly Eyes
  • Blue Cardstock
  • Sharpie
  • Hot Glue Gun

  1. Paint your paper plate blue and let it dry
  2. When paper plate is dry, fold it in half
  3. Using hot glue, glue on fins, tail, and googly eyes
  4. Use a sharpie to draw a mouth
  5. Tap the back of your shark to make it rock back and forth and watch it “swim”

Shark Snack Cup

Make these adorable shark snack cups for shark week for your kiddos! They are very easy to make.

You will need:

  • Blue Cup
  • White Paper
  • Blue Card Stock
  • Googly Eye
  • Sharpie
  • Tape 
  • Glue
  • Snacks

  1. Cut teeth out of white paper. Glue or tape inside the cup (I used the long edge of a piece of standard printer paper)
  2. Cut a fin out of blue cardstock. Use two pieces of tape to tape it to the top of the cup
  3. Glue on a googly eye
  4. Use a sharpie to draw gills
  5. Add some snacks! We used Goldfish!

Depending on your cup, hot glue may or may not melt your cup! You can try to use normal liquid glue or tape if that is the case.
